Now preparations have begun for GDC, where the Brazil Games Project is heading with 46 studios from Brazil. The agenda is going to be incredible and is available below. NATIONAL GAMES INDUSTRY SURVEY

Second Edition of the National Survey is available

The research carried out by Brazil Games and ApexBrasil indicated growth.

The full and final version of the 2nd National Games Industry Survey, a collaboration between Abragames and ApexBrasil, through the Brazil Games project, has been released. The report is a detailed study that offers a comprehensive overview of the current panorama of the Brazilian digital games industry, highlighting its growth, challenges and achievements.

Among the main highlights, we observed a significant increase of 3.2% in the total number of national studios, reaching a total of 1,042. In addition, we recorded significant growth in the production of our own games, with 1,009 launches in 2022 alone, representing an increase of 12% compared to the previous year. The growing maturity of the Brazilian industry is also reflected in other aspects, such as the increase in professionals in the sector, which grew 6.3% compared to the previous year, totaling 13,225 individuals dedicated to game development throughout the country.

Furthermore, the research reveals valuable insights into technological preferences, production capacity and market trends, such as the growing interest in emerging technologies such as artificial intelligence and remote work. Abragames’ goal with this research is to provide a comprehensive understanding of the current scenario of the gaming industry in Brazil, offering insights that can guide future strategies and further drive the growth of the sector.
